COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rock the RoC, the upcoming virtual tribute concert hosted by cannabinoid research nonprofit Realm of Caring (RoC), and Presenting Sponsor Charlotte’s Web, will unite a global community dedicated to furthering the access needed for research, education and advocacy of hemp and cannabis-derived botanicals. The April 7 concert will also showcase numerous individuals that have followed in the late CBD pioneer Charlotte Figi’s footsteps, finding life-saving therapeutic relief through hemp and cannabis.

Rock the RoC has curated a standout show to honor Charlotte’s legacy, and to heal, inspire, celebrate and unite a broad community of medical cannabis advocates as they groove to musical performances by Grammy award-winning artists including The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Michael Franti, Ruthie Foster, Glen Phillips, Graham Nash, Molly Tuttle, Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers, Sarah Jarosz, Corey Glover, The War and Treaty, Johnnyswim, MC Flow, Jeffrey Gaines, Chris Trapper, Nora Brown, Reed Foehl and Johnny Helm. Featured spokespeople include Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, and Realm of Caring President and Co-Founder Heather Jackson (also a close friend of the Figi family).

“Cannabis has saved countless lives, one of which was my son,” Jackson shared. “He would not have benefited from cannabis if it weren’t for the bravery of the Figi Family and Charlotte, our guiding light. I invite you to come together to celebrate Charlotte and support all those who rely on hemp and cannabis to improve their quality of life—and what better way to celebrate than with music.”

The Stanley Brothers kick-started the industry in 2012 with Charlotte’s Web hemp extract, named for young Charlotte Figi. Her remarkable story was first featured by CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and has since garnered global attention and they’ve been hailed as the OG’s of the CBD industry. Since inception, they have focused on plant-based healing to become defenders of a community often failed by traditional medicine. They’ve helped to transform laws and lives with their botanical innovations and have reached millions of people around the world.

Rock the RoC invites members of the public to secure a free virtual ticket at http://www.rocktheroc.org and stream the concert via http://www.nugs.tv on April 7, 2021. Those looking to support the event and RoC’s work can visit Kickstarter and make a tax-deductible donation.
