LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Puffco, the electronic consumption device innovator, announced today the appointments of Stuart McFaul as Chief Marketing Officer and Joy Huffman as Chief Financial Officer.
In their new roles, McFaul and Huffman will add greater depth and breadth of industry experience to an industry-leading management team. Their appointments are in line with several strategic moves by the company to look across a broad spectrum of fast-growth industries, not just the cannabis space, in order to find leaders who are experts in their individual areas, have achieved execution success in difficult regulatory environments, and are well-respected for their business and people management skills and out-of-the-box approaches to achieve market success.

McFaul is an award-winning marketing executive who has built disruptive billion-dollar brands for emerging technology companies. After founding San Francisco-based Spiralgroup in 1997, he created the empathy-based Living Brand™ marketing framework, leveraged to bring brands to market and pave the way for hundreds of companies to successfully enter and dominate their markets. During his years of leadership at Spiralgroup, he expanded the marketing agency’s portfolio to include 200+ start-ups and multinationals, including Apple, Cisco, Getty Images, Hitachi, HP, and Siebel.
In 2020, he went on to create Stuart McFaul Associates, a brand marketing strategy and leadership consultancy that empowers companies and CEOs to emulate behavior of the world’s leading companies. McFaul is a sought-after speaker and educator, including lecturing in brand marketing at Wharton School of Business, Stanford University, and USC Marshall Schools. He is a graduate of San Jose State University.
Huffman most recently comes from the entertainment world, having held the position of CFO for Boom! Entertainment, where she ensured the company’s success through the global pandemic, and drove positive cultural and operational change throughout the business.
Huffman held prior senior leadership roles across several industries, including VP, Finance and Sales Operations at The Wonderful Company, and a Director role at Mars, Inc. During her tenure as Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, Huffman served top-tier clients on growth strategy and earned recognition for contributions to people initiatives within the firm. Huffman holds a B.S. from UC Santa Barbara and earned her Ph.D. from Oregon Health and Science University with emphasis in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
