Investors Meet Israeli Cannabis Startups at iCANconnect

NEW YORK – One hundred thirty investors came with the opportunity to learn about the innovative Israeli cannabis industry and evaluate investment opportunities.

iCANconnect, New York’s first-ever Israeli Cannabis Investor Symposium, provided 130 investors the opportunity to learn about the innovative Israeli cannabis industry, meet executives and researchers and evaluate investment opportunities. Ten Israeli cannabis startups presented, including iCANsee, a pioneer of the ocular delivery of cannabinoids, and CannaDu, a medical cannabis & life sciences investment fund.

US investors got the opportunity to learn about Israeli cannabis innovations and meet startup entrepreneurs and researchers at the “first-ever” Israeli Cannabis Investor Symposium in New York.

Israeli firm, Kanabo Research, aims to become the first cannabis company to list on the London Stock Exchange as it bids to boost its fundraising drive.

Pharma giant Teva Pharmaceutical Industries will enter into the medical cannabis sector after subsidiary Salomon, Levin, Elstein (S.L.E.) signed a distribution agreement with Israeli therapeutic company Canndoc.

Market intelligence firm New Frontier Data puts the annual value of the Mexican cannabis market at $2 billion, with an estimated 1.4 million consumers (less than 1% of the total population).

New York has officially passed cannabis decriminalization just in time for iCAN: Israel Cannabis’ first investor symposium. The event brought meet-ups with Israel’s highest potential cannabis start-ups, iCANconnect tenders opportunities for quality investors and other stakeholders.

New regulations that will come into force in Canada by October 2019 will mean licensed vendors can sell cannabis edibles, oils, and tinctures.
