Petaluma, CA— Hydrofarm, LLC, a leading wholesaler and manufacturer of hydroponics equipment and horticultural products, announced that the Company has opened a facility in New Hudson, Michigan, to better serve the needs of local customers. Empowering growers for over 40 years, Hydrofarm has expanded beyond one million square feet of total distribution space across North America while continuing to offer over 5,000, specialty retail and commercial gardening products.
Featuring 126,000 square feet of inventory space, the Michigan wholesale-only distribution center will offer Hydrofarm’s regional retailers accelerated shipping as well as closer proximity to the superior customer service that Hydrofarm is known for.
“We’re excited about what this closer proximity facility is going to offer our customers in Michigan as we grow with them. Shipping within the area will of course be expedited, and we want to encourage our retailers to come by to pick up orders or to just say hello,” said Hydrofarm CEO Peter Wardenburg.
The Michigan operation is headed up by Midwest Sales Manager Joe Zdesar, formerly a senior Territory Manager for Hydrofarm. Zdesar commented, “I knew living and working here was going to be a great fit. I’m really happy to be able to work more closely with the awesome retailers in the Midwest, and to be alongside them in their exponential growth.”
