The Cannabis Conservancy Launches the First International, Cannabis-Specific Sustainability Certification TCC works to empower and assure that the regulated Cannabis industry achieves environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The Cannabis Conservancy (TCC) has officially launched their Sustainability Certification in the US and Canada. TCC Certification offers a holistic, life-cycle approach to sustainability for the regulated Cannabis industry. The launch of TCC allows sun-grown and indoor cultivators to begin the certification process this month.

“As the Cannabis Industry continues to grow around the world, there is an urgent need for a framework that educates, identifies, and verifies that the Cannabis being produced is healthy for people and the environment,” stated Jacob Policzer, President of TCC. “Compliance with our Certification will guide the market toward more sustainable cultivation practices. We understand that sustainability is a long-term commitment of gradual improvement, so we meet growers where they are and guide them on that journey.”

TCC’s Sustainability Certification is backed by a comprehensive internal quality management system that is aligned with international accreditation standards. The Certification covers areas of cultivation management that are fundamental to the sustainable production process, such as agricultural inputs; land, water, and energy usage; waste management; harvest, processing, and handling procedures; and product traceability.

Farmers are given the resources to document and develop their own policies and standard operating procedures, as well as internal audit templates to assist in the creation of a more resilient and sustainable company. “Our third party certification helps growers achieve and surpass local and state regulations, with the added value of building your brand and creating customer loyalty,” stated Jonathan Valdman, Director of Industry Relations.

TCC’s MYGrow™ Program directly links the patient or consumer to the farmer by utilizing a QR code on each Certified product. This QR code provides the farmer with a platform to tell their story while giving consumers the information they need to make educated purchases.

TCC is now accepting applications for their Cannabis Sustainability Certification and invites you to join in making the Cannabis industry a leader in global sustainability.
