LAS VEGAS – Cannabis culture publication Dope Magazine threw the 3rd annual Golden Ticket Party on Saturday night; corresponding with the MJBizCon Expo held in Las Vegas, from Nov. 14-16.

The exclusive event was held at The Venue on Fremont St., in Sin City’s historic downtown district. The longish line moved quickly, into a roomy, multilevel space, where eclectic signs and symbols awaited party goers and chain link chandeliers hung overhead.

“This was our third consecutive year producing the DOPE Magazine Golden Ticket Party in Las Vegas during MJBizCon. Each year the party gets bigger and more anticipated,” James Zachodni, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Dope Media told mgretailer. “The first one we did a couple years back was for about 600 people. This year we had close to 3,000 people through the doors over the course of the night. By making the event exclusively invite-only, we have been able to curate some of the most influential people in the cannabis industry to gather in one room, for one night.

“One thing that makes the Golden Ticket Party stand out from all the other after parties is our level of production and really trying to make the party an experience, not just a networking event. This year was our biggest production lift as we transformed 10,000 square feet of event space into a ‘Spiritual Journey’ that guests got to take. Each room had a different theme that culminated into one amazing experience. We brought in different spiritual and religious relics and combined them with modern elements to really make the vibe feel different than anything else.

“We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the event and made some lasting connections. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing sponsors; C21 Investments, O2 Vape, Lexaria Bioscience, Kush Supply Co., Dab Society, Phantom Farms, Greenspoon Marder, Second Sun, Cannavative and Gold Flora.”

Noted guests included legendary heavyweight champion and cannabis industry entrepreneur Mike Tyson, and media personality Abdullah Saeed.
