A woman of many talents, Kelis’ author’s bio said the singer songwriter “is [also] a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef with multiple television cooking specials, and a burgeoning entrepreneurial streak with her Bounty & Full organic sauce line.”

Her sixth studio album, entitled “Food,” was released the same year as a cookbook authored by the star, My Life On a Plate: Recipes from Around the World. A 2014 review of the album in Rolling Stone Magazine described Kelis as never having been “more soulful or more intimate than she is on her sixth album.”

Recipes described were influenced by family and global cultures; “such as Pernil (Puerto Rican Pork Shoulder), Arroz con Gandules, and Shrimp Alcapurias along with dishes she created after discovering them on her travels around the world such as Malay Curry Chicken and Swedish Meatballs.”

Leather Storrs added cannabis infusions to his repertoire after 18 years as a chef for Portland restaurant Noble Rot. He caters to cannabis connoisseurs at private, members-only dining events.
