“If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” Sure, we’ve all heard that, but it’s fantasy nonsense to most of us with bills to pay.
For cannabis enthusiasts, the saying often associated with Confucious (though there is some debate about whether he actually made the statement) may have some real-life relevance. AHLOT, a boutique cannabis provider focusing on providing high-end products and experiences, is looking to hire five “cannabis connoisseurs” who will work part-time smoking and rating products.
“AHLOT inspires beautiful cannabis experiences,” the company says on their Facebook page. “Our promise is to select the finest products to elevate your ritual and enjoy cannabis comfortably, responsibly and proudly.”
Those hired will join AHLOT’s Cannabis Curation Committee (CCC).
“CCC members will be entitled to $50 per hour, to a maximum of 16 hours per month, in addition to an expense account of $200 per month,” AHLOT said according to DailyHive.com.
Unfortunately, CCC members may not be able to quit their day jobs. Members work schedule will be “between 1 and 4 hours per week, not exceeding 16 hours per month.”
AHLOT will be using the feedback submitted by CCC members to determine what will be included in product sample packs. CCC members will also be expected to help with some marketing duties, including social media, appearing in videos, and attending company events.
The job carries other perks (besides smoking free cannabis) for CCC members such as a $200 per month expense account.
While this all sounds like fun, CCC members will be providing valuable information for AHLOT.
“AHLOT relies upon the educated opinion of a select group of self-identified cannabis enthusiasts, to meet various strains from cultivators across the country and report upon their characteristics,” the company said.
Applicants must be well versed in cannabis and are required to be at least 19 years of age.
Legal sales of recreational cannabis are set to begin on October 17 in Canada. Many companies and investors are trying to get their marketing plans and staff in order, including AHLOT.
