Viridian Capital, Blueberries, HEXO, Artelo make executive changes; Green Hygienics, NORML make changes to board; U.S. Hemp Roundtable elects president.

HEXO Corp, a consumer packaged goods company, appointed Charles Bowman to the role of general manager of U.S. operations. He brings to the company nearly thirty years of experience in senior roles at global ingredient suppliers including BGG and Solix Algredients, Solazyme, TerraVia, CP Kelco, and Cargill.

“Charlie’s extensive experience in commercial growth and operations will be instrumental as we continue to expand our footprint in the U.S.,” said HEXO Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Sebastien St-Louis. “We are excited to bring such established leadership to the team as we ramp up to support the growth initiatives of Truss CBD USA, our joint venture with Molson Coors, and for potential non-beverage CPG partners with whom we are in ongoing discussions.”

The U.S. Hemp Roundtable elected HempFusion Chief Marketing Officer Ola Lessard to her second consecutive term as president.

Greg Coleman joined Viridian Capital Advisors as head of capital markets. He previously held various equity and research sales and managerial roles at companies including Credit Suisse First Boston, Leerink Swann, and Macquarie Securities and co-founded THINK Partners. Coleman is a registered representative and holds Series 7, 63, and 24 FINRA licenses.

Latin American licensed producer Blueberries Medical named former Clever LeavesGlobal Head of B2B José María Forero to the role of president of Latin American operations. He brings to the company more than seventeen years of experience in regional and global sales.

“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Forero to our team,” said Blueberries Interim Chief Executive Officer Facundo Garreton. “We are confident that with the addition of Mr. Forero, our Latin American operations are well equipped for global growth and success.”


Biopharmaceutical company Artelo Biosciences appointed Dr. Andrew Yates to the dual roles of senior vice president and chief scientific officer. Most recently, Yates served at AstraZeneca in many areas including development and commercial strategy, medical affairs, and business development.

Aphria Chief Strategy Officer Denise Faltischek has been appointed the additional role of managing director for Aphria Germany.

“Denise has been instrumental in leading our strategic initiatives in Canada and internationally as we’ve scaled our operations,” said Aphria Chief Executive Officer Irwin D. Simon. “We are excited for her to further expand her role by also leading our day-to-day operations in Germany where she has worked closely with the team since joining Aphria.”


Members of the board of directors at the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) elected TV show host and travel guidebook author Rick Steves to serve as board chair for 2021.

Daniel Claycamp joined the advisory board at Green Hygienics Holdings. He currently serves as president at DLC Process Consulting and formerly served as vice president of operations at GenCanna Global USA.
