Gary Allen assumed the role of chief executive officer at data and analytics firm New Frontier Data. Former CEO Giadha A. DeCarcer will transition to executive chair of the company’s board.

“Cannabis is quickly maturing into a retail vertical market akin to mainstream consumer markets, and with that evolution, intelligence and tech-enabled solutions are becoming table stakes to quickly assess and understand market dynamics, make informed business decisions and then take action on those decisions,” said Allen. “Working with the incredible team Giadha built, and following her vision of providing mature, unbiased, high-tech-based understanding of an unrecognized market, I am thrilled and honored for the opportunity to take on the role of CEO, execute on our product strategy, and bring next generation B2B data solutions to the cannabis industry.”

Following the April 15, 2021 retirement of Chief Financial Officer Monty Lamirato, Jeffrey Lasher will assume the role of CFO at hydroponic and organic garden center chain GrowGeneration. Lasher previously served as CFO at West Marine, Crocs, International Car Wash Group, Inc., and Coravin, Inc.

“As GrowGen continues to scale its business, with $1.0 billion in sales in our sights, Jeff brings to the company the experience of a CFO who has managed several multiple billion-dollar companies,” said GrowGen Chief Executive Officer Darren Lampert. “Further, Jeff is a skilled leader, with years of experience in multi-store and omnichannel operations, which overlays perfectly to the GrowGen business model.”

“The GrowGen family would like to thank Monty for his service, dedication, and hard work during his tenure,” Lampert added. “Monty played an integral part to the growth of GrowGen, and the entire GrowGen team wishes him well in retirement.”

Clear Cannabis, Inc., a national cannabis brand company and licensor of The Clear, promoted Vice President of Sales Seth Wiggins to the role of president. Wiggins, who joined the company in 2017, will oversee the integration of CCI’s sales and operations divisions.

“If Clear Cannabis were a car, Seth would be the engine,” said CCI Chief Executive Officer Tom Brooksher. “He has been a key part of our executive team since the company’s founding.

“We believe Seth is the best sales executive in the cannabis industry particularly with his deep expertise in operations and highly successful execution of CCI’s strategic initiatives,” Brooksher added. “Promoting Seth to president completes a very strong executive team including Chairman Rich Batenburg Jr., Chief Financial Officer Alan Fine, and Chief Investment Officer Rick Batenburg III.”
