LOS ANGELES — For the last five years, Capna Technology has been an innovative force behind the scenes, exceeding expectations and outgrowing the cannabis industry. The company, which began with cutting edge cannabis extraction through its original business Capna Labs, and has been rapidly expanding across all facets of the burgeoning industry; becoming a vertically integrated cannabis “one-stop shop”. Capna offers state of the art technology in cannabis oil extraction through Capna Labs, creates eco-friendly extraction systems for businesses though Capna Systems, as well as a best in class consumer product, Bloom Brand. From the infancy of the plant to the end consumer experience, Capna has cornered the business and consumer cannabis markets with its forward thinking business model.

Capna Labs was founded by four experienced cannabis entrepreneurs in 2013. Looking towards the future of cannabis, they believed that cannabis oil was at the forefront. They began experimenting with CO2, then after trial and error, realized that this wasn’t the most efficient method, and in 2015 they engineered their own proprietary Ethanol extraction system. This unique process, which is typically only applied in the cosmetic industry, turns cannabis plant materials into high-grade cannabis-infused concentrates, topical creams, and nutritional supplements in the most safe, efficient and eco-friendly way. The non-hydrocarbon, non-toxic, pressure-less extraction system uses the strictest standards and the most sustainable methods on the market, single-handedly changing the cannabis extraction game.

“At Capna Labs we work with a safe and renewable solvent that is derived from plant sugar and yeast. This process allows us to recycle over 90% of our solvent for future extractions. Capna’s systems don’t vent any vapor and thus prevent inhalation hazards to our operators and the public. After disposal, our plant material is thoroughly dried in dewatering centrifuges to prevent any solvent from entering the ecosystem,” says Gene Galyuk, Chief Technology Officer

After perfecting the craft of extraction, the team saw an opportunity in the market to create a superior, high quality, trusted concentrate product, and in 2014, the business to business company turned its sights to the consumer to launch Bloom Brand. Bloom quickly became an industry leader with its high end vape pen and concentrates. In 2016, the brand expanded from 20 to 180 stores, and from 2017 until now, that number has since doubled. Bloom Brand is available across California and Washington, and launched in New Mexico last month, with plans to expand its product line with new strains hitting the market in the next three months.

Seeing the industry develop exponentially, Capna Technology began yet another venture in 2017 – building and selling their top level extraction systems, Capna Systems, to industry professionals. So far Capna has sold a record 45 systems worldwide, and the demand continues to grow. This year, Capna Systems will debut two new extraction machines. The Atlas and FFE will exist alongside their existing Ethos – 6, and their flagship Ethos – 4 machines.

Capna Technology is leading the industry with the most innovative, safe, and environmentally responsible technologies for cannabis extraction and processing. The company remains privately owned and funded, and is currently operating in California, New Mexico and Washington, with plans to expand to three other states by the end of the year. The company will be broadening its consumer offerings through Bloom Brand and Capna Labs plans to expand globally, offering its extraction services around the world.
